Smoked Cheese Dip
Creamy, rich, and packed with real smoke flavour, this smoked cheese dip is an easy crowd-pleaser for entertaining, grazing boards, or casual nights in.
Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded smoked gouda cheese
- 1 cup softened cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
- Wood chips (hickory or apple recommended)
Method
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cheddar, smoked gouda, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
- Mix until well combined and smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to a heat-safe serving dish or small pan.
- Place the dish inside your smoker box.
- Add a small amount of wood chips to the burner area.
- Light the wood chips and allow the smoke to infuse the dip for about 1 minute.
- Remove carefully and top with chopped green onions if desired.
- Serve warm with crackers, bread, pretzels, or fresh vegetables.
