Smoked Cheese Dip

Creamy, rich, and packed with real smoke flavour, this smoked cheese dip is an easy crowd-pleaser for entertaining, grazing boards, or casual nights in.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded smoked gouda cheese
  • 1 cup softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
  • Wood chips (hickory or apple recommended)

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cheddar, smoked gouda, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a heat-safe serving dish or small pan.
  4. Place the dish inside your smoker box.
  5. Add a small amount of wood chips to the burner area.
  6. Light the wood chips and allow the smoke to infuse the dip for about 1 minute.
  7. Remove carefully and top with chopped green onions if desired.
  8. Serve warm with crackers, bread, pretzels, or fresh vegetables.
